It has been so long since I've blogged, but I've wanted to find the time. And, now at 11pm at night while I'm waiting to batch out some photos I thought I would. David and I have been crazy busy and it has been a lot of fun. With everyone watching their spending and trying to be creative in the photo budget, we feared we would be bored this last quarter. We have been anything but that. It has been a great time of year to do some family portraits, weddings at the last minute and even some senior portraits. Ben Lomand and WK & T has kept us hopping with some cool corporate work. And now I am booking next year's weddings. Can you believe 2011 is at our door? We wish everyone a wonderful holiday and we thank you for choosing Miller Photography as your photographer and sharing a day in the life of your family with us. We really appreciate it and hope we continue to see you next year.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Jacqueline & Kevin
David and I really had a great time at the wedding for Jacqueline and Kevin. We got to enjoy spending the day with two great families. One from Alabama and one from Ireland. Everyone had a great time at the beautiful Evins Mill in Smithville where the staff is always helpful and the food is fantastic. We got to see some great dancing and hear some heartfelt toasts to the happy couple. We hope the best for the two of you and your family. Here are a few of the photos we captured of their day.

Melissa & Thomas
David and I had another great time last night at a beautiful wedding in Nashville. Melissa & Thomas exchanged vows in front of family and friends and we were so glad to be a part of it. We started at the Tulip St Methodist Church which is one of the prettiest locations in Nashville. The inside of the church with the light streaming behind the stained glass windows is breathtaking and the outside is the same and provided some great opportunities for some nice shots of the wedding party-it was hot, but everyone was a trooper in staying outside for the photographs. I enjoyed meeting the flower girl, Claire, who while she admitted was her first wedding, performed like a pro. We jetted on over to Marathon Motor Works for the reception where the music was in full swing and the wedding cake was gorgeous. Thanks so much for having us photograph your wedding. We had a great time and wish the very best for the two of you.
We also had the opportunity to catch up with another one of the couples we photographed their wedding for, nice to see you Nicole & Matt.
Here is a small sampling of the great images we came away with. Hope you enjoy them.

Emily & Jason
Wow...was Saturday's wedding a hot one? We started shooting at 3:30 and it was a breezy 97 degrees. Lucky for us we got some great shade at the wonderful Riverwood Mansion. What a great place to have a wedding. Special thanks to Rebecca & Joyce who were so wonderful to work with and made mine and David's job easy with their attention to detail, wonderful communication and great teamwork. I am grateful to Emily and Jason for letting us be part of their day. We had a great time with the two of them and their family. Emily was so beautiful in her dress and Jason was totally styling in his suit. This couple looks so great together and I'll tell you these two can dance! We wish them so much happiness. Shout out to Jackie who recommended us for the job when we photographed her and Peter's wedding. Thanks guys and it was great to see you.

Congrats to Kelci & Will Ramsey
David and I had so much fun last weekend photographing Kelci & Will's wedding. Not to mention a couple days and sun and sand to relax and enjoy. We loved watching this couple as they were surrounded by friends and family the whole weekend. Everyone seemed to be one big happy family and a beach wedding close to sunset was the perfect way to tie the knot. We got to work with some great people including Sheila Newman with Orange Beach Weddings http://www.orangebeachweddings.com She did a great job making everything come together with ease and giving this young couple a day to remember. Thanks to Bethany Crouch from the fabulous salon, The Red Berry, in McMinnville, TN for her artistic talents of hair and makeup on the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids. And once again, an awesome wedding cake that was out of this world. This wedding was a first for me-I photographed the wedding and reception barefoot. And I have to say I really liked that a lot! Thanks so much to all that made our job so easy. Hope you enjoy the photos and please leave us a comment on how much you enjoyed the wedding.

Finally.....
David and I were so excited to shoot Kelci's bridal portraits, but you have to wait until after the wedding to post them. We can finally do that. Kelci and Will were married on May 22 on the beach in Orange Beach, Alabama. Now if they will only hurry and get back from their honeymoon so we can post the wedding photos......

Amy & Alex
For many, the weekend of May 1st 2010 will be remembered and talked about because of the unusual amount of rain we received. For the family and friends of Amy Beth & Alex Pinto they will recall how wonderful it was to be a part of their wedding day. David and I feel the same. Although the drive to and from the Old Natchez Trace Country Club was nerve-wracking we had a great time watching this couple together. Much like when we photographed their engagement, you can tell this couple really care, respect and are crazy in love.

Busy, Busy, Busy
I don't know where the time goes, but here it is almost March and I haven't blogged until now. David and I have been busy meeting with clients this year, filming the cooking show and the normal life stuff. I've ordered all my vegetable and flower seeds for my greenhouse and garden and I'm so excited and watch my mail everyday for their arrival. We have had time to photograph with some great people. We traveled to Cookeville for a shoot with VolFirst and then to McMinnville, Sparta and Altamont with Ben Lomand's B2B magazine shoot. We love doing what we do.
